Fairy Tale

Inspirational song: The Beat Goes On (Sonny and Cher)

Once upon a time, there was a mid-level queen who found herself locked away in a tower with cruel people, who cut open her belly and pulled out pieces of her insides. They shoved tubes inside of her and left them there, making the queen cry in pain. Then less cruel people helped her take out one of the tubes, and feel less pain, so she could walk around a little bit, and sit in a chair. A heartless imp tried to interfere with the nicer people, and blocked the queen's messages, but eventually the kind people heard the queen cry out, and they came to help her when she needed it most. One day, a handsome mid-level king freed the queen from the tower, and drove her to his castle, where all sorts of beasts roamed the land. He brought her magic pills and water and strange foods that he cooked himself. He took her to a beautiful enchantress who removed the other tube from the queen's belly, and the queen was most grateful. The queen spent almost a week in a blissful rest, until one day, her magic pills ran out. The wizard who was responsible for cutting open the queen in the first place told her that she must do without the pills, until she had proven herself by trying to survive on just three little green capsules at a time. She tried and tried, but the pain got worse and worse. The queen could do nothing but lie about and sleep, and moan about how awful she felt. Finally she called out to the wizard's apprentice, who talked him into giving her magic pills that weren't as powerful as the first, but were better than the little green capsules that were useless. After a few hours, the new magic pills helped the queen relax and remove the built-up pain that had all but crippled her. She had lost two days in which she was supposed to be hiding all the clutter from the castle, but she still had one day left to accomplish this difficult task. She accepted the help of three kind fairies, and at this very moment, she awaits their arrival with eagerness. The queen's story is not over yet. She still has much time before she lives happily ever after. But at least now, she is living happily, and that's all that matters.
