Inspirational song: Guantanamera (Joseíto Fernández)
See, I’m not so difficult to please. I just needed a couple of days of straight cold and snow. I just wanted to feel like I saw winter. The snow is dry and crystalline, not fluffy or slushy. It makes a gloriously crunchy sound when you walk through it (and it packs really well on the well-worn path between our houses). It was a little slick when I went for the one-day sales at the liquor store. (Every Sunday, ridiculous sales on wine. And oddly, I find I’m going through more of it on Wednesdays than I used to.) Still, it provided the winter experience I craved. I am quite content.
