There was a circle of life moment this morning. The cats had a run in the backyard, and Alfred found a fledgling robin. The Mr tried to save him, but he didn't reach him in time. There will be no photos of the event.
The rest of the day was much more pleasant. A little charmer in crab jammies spent the day with us. She's really getting the hang of this "spending weekends with the grandparents" business. It was a short day of babysitting, as her mother got off work mid-afternoon. It seemed easy and over quickly. The fact that every time we see her, Dino becomes more and more engaged with her surroundings helped too. She is just such a friendly kid. She seems to be more observant than interactive still, but that won't last forever. She will be grabbing stuff any minute now.
We all took a lot of photos today. Well, her mother and I took stills. Grandpa was mostly taking videos, so every other Facebook message I got had my voice in the background, saying dumb stuff, not knowing I was being recorded. Yet none of the images are definitive proof of giggles. We continue to wait for the magic moment.
